Senate Vote Tuesday On Grassroots Gag Bill – Call Now!

There must be no censorship on the Internet.

The vote could be Tuesday. It could be delayed a day or two. This is so bad we cannot take any chances.

There must be a groundswell of calls to your Senators today.

Please, this bill will damage the grassroots. It will damage you. It must be stopped.

The new bill number – S 2349. Old bill number was S 2128. You can use both.

Action Items:

-----1. Call both your Senators today to oppose S 2349, the new number for the Grassroots Lobby Bill. The old number was S 2128. You can still use that one.

This bill imposes criminal penalties if reports are not filed or filed on time. It makes you or any grassroots person or organization fill out reports, even before you do a project. Your opponents can know in advance what your plans are. This is just another way for the government to get in your pocket, wallet and head. Local grassroots groups will be greatly penalized. It is just not fair.

S 2349 will put the clamps on grassroots activity.

We believe many Senators are beginning to lean against voting for the grassroots provisions in S 2349. They just need a little push from you. You may call both your Senators at (202) 224-3121.

-----2. Ask for your Senators fax number and send him a fax.

-----3. Call at least three other people to get them to call and fax.

Time is urgent. You must take action immediately.

Please forward this message as widely as possible.

There must be no grassroots gag order or censorship on the Internet.
