We Goofed – All Clinton Roadless Area Opponents

*****URGENT ACTION REQUIRED*****

New PDF File Available For Roadless Area Questionnaires

Wednesday’s E-mail alerted you to the Thursday, August 14th Deadline for Roadless Area Comments. ALRA made a mistake in formatting the documents we posted to the WEBSITE so if you downloaded the PDF file you got only part of the image.

New Clinton Roadless Area Comment Questionnaires have been posted to www.landrights.org. They are right on the home page.

REMEMBER. There are TWO COMMENT PERIODS ending Thursday, August 14th. You may use fax, e-mail or US Post Office. The Comment Questionnaires have the complete information enclosed. You need to comment on BOTH.

There are two Roadless Rule comment periods running simultaneously. Both are important and all allies nationally should comment.

The first is for comments supporting a proposal to amend the Roadless Rule to exempt the Tongass and Chugach National Forests from the Rule until the Forest Service promulgates a Final Roadless Rule. These comments should be sent by mail, e-mail or fax to:

Roadless TNF (1)
Content Analysis Team
USDA Forest Service
PO Box 22810
Salt Lake City, UT 84122
roadlesstnf@fs.fed.us
Fax #801-880-2808
DEADLINE: August 14, 2003

The second is for comments on the proposed final changes to the Roadless Rule. These comments should be sent to:

Roadless Area ANPR (2)
Content Analysis Team
P.O. Box 22777
Salt Lake City, UT, 84122.
roadlessanpr@fs.fed.us
Fax: #801-880-3311
DEADLINE: August 14, 2003

*****Note that two slightly different comment questionnaires have been created and are available from www.landrights.org. One for each of the two different Forest Service comment periods. All you have to do is download them, fill them out and fax them to the Forest Service. If you go to the website and the Roadless Rule documents are not yet ready, call American Land Rights at (360) 687-3087 and we’ll fax them directly to you.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS MESSAGE AS WIDELY AS POSSIBLE.
