Grassroots ESA Coalition Alert

Important Endangered Species Act (ESA) Meeting

Below is an invitation and registration form for an important meeting next week regarding the Endangered Species Act. While it is past the printed deadline for registration, we suggest you ignore the deadline and register anyway. They will be glad for the participation.

Grassroots ESA Coalition members should attend this meeting and reception if at all possible. The Grassroots ESA Coalition will be holding a meeting in January. The date is not pinned down yet. We’ll send you information shortly.

In the meantime, it is good to network with other groups like NESARC and stay informed about who is doing what and when.

Congratulations to everyone on their hard work prior to the election. It certainly paid off.

Dear Friend:

The meeting will provide an opportunity to look beyond the November elections to what lies ahead as we strive to make the ESA work better. House Resources Committee Chairman Richard Pombo (R-CA) has already agreed to participate, and others leaders working to improve the ESA are also expected join us. As a fellow supporter of improvements to the ESA, we are pleased to extend to you an invitation to attend.

The meeting will be held at the offices of the American Farm Bureau Federation, located at 600 Maryland Avenue, SW, Suite 800, Washington DC. The program of Congressional speakers and ESA panels will begin at 2:00 p.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m. Additionally, you are invited to attend a reception that evening from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Capitol Hill Club, 300 First Street, SE, Washington, DC, with NESARC members and others who have been supporters of our efforts.
