These Congressmen Need Your Call Now! -- Here’s A Supporter List Too.

Look Below To See Many Of the Groups Supporting The Pombo Bill (HR 3824)

Find The Congressmen From Your State –Urge Them to VOTE YES on (HR 3824).

They need to know you are watching closely and will hold them accountable.

URGENT -- Ask them to VOTE NO on the Miller-Boehlert Substitute bill. Everyone, no matter where you live, should call and fax both George Miller (D-CA) and Sherwood Boehlert (R-NY) to tell them not to sabotage HR 3824. Boehlert can be called at (202) 225-3665. FAX: (202) 225-1891. George Miller can be called at (202) 225-2095 and faxed at (202) 225-5609

George Miller and Sherwood Boehlert are trying to destroy HR 3824 by eliminating property rights language.

If your Congressman is not listed, call him or her to urge defeat of the Miller-Boehlert Substitute bill that will take out the property rights language from HR 3824. Any Congressman can be called at (202) 225-3121.

See Action Items Below.

The Vote on the House Floor about the Endangered Species Act is expected to take place on Thursday, September 29th. It could be delayed.

The vote is not likely to occur until later in the day. Debate on the ESA could start in the morning on C-Span.

It is critical that we know how your Congressman is going to vote or which way he or she is leaning. Please write us back and tell us either that your Congressman will vote yes, no or is leaning one way or the other. Just send a short e-mail to ccushman@landrights.org

This is a remarkable time in history. It is your chance to actually try to improve and fix the Endangered Species Act. In 31 years, only 10 species have been recovered out of nearly 1,300 listed Threatened and Endangered Species.

With a success rate of less than one percent, the ESA is not effective at saving threatened and endangered species. At the same time, the corresponding rules and regulations have, in many cases, strangled local economies, hurt businesses, farmers, landowners and Federal land users causing severe repercussions that impact everything from school funding to jobs to economic development — even hampering important environmental protections.

We can do better. We can recover species while protecting landowners, businesses and our economy.

The vote on the House floor affects you, your job, your community and the protection of Endangered Species. You have a chance to really make a difference.

Don’t sit on the sidelines. If you have not been affected by the ESA yet, you will be. No is your chance to make a real difference.

Your call could be the one that turns your Representative in favor of HR 3824.
