S 2739, Omnibus Parks Bill, actually called the Consolidated Natural
Resources Act of 2008), is to be voted on in the Senate after they comes
back from the Easter Recess. Sometime after April 1st they will vote, and
this is no joke.

S 2739 includes Rim of the Valley, several Forest Service Wilderness Areas,
Eight Mile Wild and Scenic River in Connecticut including Eminent Domain,
Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area, lots of other
Heritage Areas and many more proposed studies and new park areas. Dozens

It is critical that you call, fax and e-mail both your Senators to oppose S
2739. You can get this information by calling any Senator at (202) 224-3121
and asking who his or her staff person is who handles park issues. Ask for
their e-mail and fax number.

Your Senator will likely come home for the Easter Recess. Call and see if
