Should Alaska Do the Same?
In October, 2014 an Alaska delegation lead by Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell joined 14 other states in Salt Lake City and unanimously endorsed a public policy statement that calls on the federal government to turn its lands over to state control [Deseret News, 10/9/14]

Ultimately, transfer of the vast federal land holdings in the west is the ultimate solution to these and the million other problems in the federal - state relationship:
