Should Alaska Do the Same?
In October, 2014 an Alaska delegation lead by Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell joined 14 other states in Salt Lake City and unanimously endorsed a public policy statement that calls on the federal government to turn its lands over to state control [Deseret News, 10/9/14]

FEDERALLY CONTROLLED LANDS

Ultimately, transfer of the vast federal land holdings in the west is the ultimate solution to these and the million other problems in the federal - state relationship:

Feds refuse King Cove permission to build life saving road to Cold Bay
Feds harass senior citizen on Yukon River
Feds take over wildlife management and shut down oil drilling, mining and timber industries

This is one of the most important reform initiatives for the future of both Alaska and America!
